Now I know that each one of us and each one of you has their own thoughts on this, and some of you might even think that “meh…
There was a list of two paradigms: agreements (followed by healthy discussions) and disagreements. The latter was seen a lot, which is fine because the points weren’t arguable. Most people manage their time online very well, and people who probably don’t, replied with things like: “comes from the CEO of Social Chain” or “posted at 11:30 pm” or our personal favorite “i’m not like other youths, i eat mud to feel closer to the earth :) phone bad, mud good.” That’s kinda funny right? Gen X: Yeah yeah get off my foot, you’re all here for hours every day of the week. Thought I should just take a trip and see what you are doing here. What are you trying to teach these people huh? What do you even know about anything? You don’t even have a proper haircut!
Gen Z: *sigh* don’t you worry about our haircuts X, it’s not gonna affect our cognitive abilities, and we’re not teaching them anything. We’re just breaking down a blog topic, something people can read online, can you please just go now? Gosh!

Z: Why would we wan… That’s not the point! Point is, you’re wasting everybody’s time!
X: I am wasting everybody’s time? They are all here to pass their time! They are reading this to pass time because they saw a link somewhere and their head went all “you know what? I should just read this, what’s it gonna take anyway? And then I’ll go back to scrolling scrolling my way through tweeter and Telegram”
Z: Okay X, let us stop you right there. There’s nothing bad about what you just said until there’s no personal involvement of the person at home, in school or college. It’s not all waste here! For instance, we were just going to tell them how so many companies; almost all MNCs have taken to social media and the internet to promote their work, to make people aware of what they do and to also spread the word about the employment options they have for them.
X: Yada yada yada! I’m talking about the Zs that are on these social media apps round the clock and follow the people and literally follow them in real life. With fashion, brands, accessories, food choices and what not! They forget that they have a personality of their own that they should explore and learn about it by reading books and inspiring stories. Inspiration is good, but full adaptation ceases the originality’s existence.
Z: Hey! That’s not all true! And we do read. I mean, some of us do, really.
You’re not seeing the point, most of us do know the difference. And most of us have our own interests showcased on these platforms, for our friends and the rest of the world to see. We’re just connected in more ways to these personalities because we can be. Are you telling me that if you knew what brand of bell bottoms Dharmendra wore back in the day, you wouldn’t buy em? I mean, come on X, we know you. And for the people who spend too much time here, they can come across companies like Addded, and when we tell them that we have so many programs to offer that can guide them on a path where they can use all that they have consumed and make use of thought and ideas that go around in their heads. Social media is also very convenient and useful for stressful situations, if there are floods, storms or earthquakes in your area you can mark yourself safe. Not only that, you can help those in need by creating awareness about the certain issue and it is literally how NGOs work these days! Ain’t that great?
